You Shouldn’t Have to Live with Shoulder Pain
Shoulder pain stops you from doing the things you love—whether it’s lifting weights, playing with your kids, or even reaching for something off a shelf. You’ve tried resting, icing, and over-the-counter pain relievers, but nothing seems to work. Maybe you’ve been to physical therapy before, only to get 20 minutes with a therapist before being handed off to an aide. You deserve better.

Limited Range of Motion
You can’t lift your arm overhead or reach behind your back without sharp pain or stiffness.
Interrupted Sleep
Shoulder pain keeps you awake at night, making it impossible to find a comfortable sleeping position.
Declined Activity Levels
You’ve had to stop doing the activities you love—golf, swimming, CrossFit, or even everyday tasks like gardening.

“Jon spent a full hour with me 1:1 assessing my posture, strength and flexibility to get to the root of my shoulder pain and limited mobility. I was delighted and frankly amazed that I had greater range of motion in my shoulder than I’ve had in months after ONE visit. He determined that a muscle on the front of my chest was tight and pulling my shoulder blade out of place. After some simple stretches, everything moved better!”

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes The PT Project different from other physical therapy clinics in Salem?
At The PT Project, you’ll work directly with a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist for every single visit—not an aide or assistant. Each session is a full 60 minutes focused entirely on YOUR goals and recovery. We’re an out-of-network provider, which means your treatment is determined by what you need, not by insurance restrictions. Studies show that OCS-certified therapists are only surpassed by orthopedic surgeons in diagnosing musculoskeletal injuries. We believe this level of expertise and individualized care leads to faster recovery times and better long-term outcomes.
How can physical therapy help with shoulder pain?
Physical therapy treats shoulder pain by addressing the root cause—not just masking symptoms. Our approach includes hands-on manual therapy to improve joint mobility, soft tissue techniques to release tight muscles and fascia, and corrective exercises to strengthen weak areas and restore proper movement patterns. Many of our patients see significant improvement within just 2-3 sessions. Whether you’re dealing with a rotator cuff injury, frozen shoulder, impingement, or post-surgical recovery, we create a personalized treatment plan to help you regain pain-free movement.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider, which allows us to provide the highest level of care without insurance restrictions. We accept all major credit cards, cash, checks, as well as HSA (Health Savings Account), FSA (Flex Spending Account), and HRA (Health Retirement Account). We’re transparent about our fees and will discuss pricing with you before scheduling your first appointment. Many patients find that the investment in 1:1 care with a specialist—and faster recovery times—is well worth it compared to insurance-based clinics where you get limited time with an actual therapist.
