Ankle Pain That’s Holding You Back
Ankle sprains, Achilles pain, and chronic instability don’t just hurt — they pull you out of the runs, games, and workouts that make you feel like yourself. Ignoring them only makes things worse.

You’ve Tried Resting It — But It Keeps Coming Back
Rest alone rarely fixes the root cause of ankle pain. Without addressing muscle imbalances, joint mechanics, and movement patterns, the same injury returns — often worse than before.
Generic PT Isn’t Getting You Back to Your Sport
When treatment is driven by insurance limits instead of your goals, you get cookie-cutter exercises and rushed appointments — not the individualized care that actually gets athletes moving again.
Every Missed Training Day Costs You More Than You Think
Whether it’s a race on the calendar or a season on the line, chronic ankle pain compounds over time. The longer you wait, the harder it is to rebuild strength, stability, and confidence.

Salem’s Ankle Pain Physical Therapy Done Right

If you’ve been searching for ankle pain physical therapy near me, you’ve found the right place.

Your Questions, Answered
Do you accept insurance?
The Physical Therapy Project operates as a self-pay and out-of-network provider. This means your care is driven entirely by your needs and goals — not by what your insurance company allows. Many patients find that the quality and speed of results more than justify the investment. We’re happy to provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
What happens during my first visit?
Your first appointment is a full 60-minute, one-on-one evaluation with your physical therapist. There are no aides or assistants involved — ever. Your PT will assess your ankle pain, review your history, discuss your goals, and begin developing your personalized treatment plan.
How long are sessions, and will I always see the same PT?
All sessions are 60 minutes, and you will always work directly with your assigned physical therapist for the full duration. Continuity of care is central to how we operate.
Who do you treat — is this clinic only for athletes?
We treat active adults of all kinds — from competitive runners, cyclists, and team sport athletes to weekend warriors and everyday people who want to stay mobile and pain-free. If ankle pain is limiting what you love to do, we can help.
What ankle conditions do you treat?
We treat ankle sprains, chronic ankle instability, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, and post-surgical ankle rehab, among other lower extremity conditions. Our therapists also perform running mechanics analysis and sport-specific return-to-play programming.
